"A Magical Wish" Making dreams come true with your imagination through reading!

(Profits from book sales are used to purchase and gift books to children's hospitals)
Below are some comments from children's hospitals and a list of a few hospitals that have been sent books as gifts.  As funds allow, Max will be visiting these hospitals to spread a little cheer to the children.  There are over 300 children's hospitals in the USA and it is our goal to send our books to all of them and perhaps even pay some of them a visit.
"On behalf of the Board of Governors, the Administration, the children, their parents and the staff at the Shriners Hospital, we extend our sincerest and heartfelt thanks to you for your donation of two books entitled, "Hippy the Happy Hippo" and "Max's Cloud Critters."  The Department of Adolescent and Child Life Department is especially excited about sharing these books with the children, parents and staff.  It is always rewarding to be able to inspire children to use their imaginations and dream of endless possibilities.  Your special books will be enjoyed by all and are a definite asset to our children's library.  Our hospital is extremely appreciative and thankful for the support of enthusiastic individuals, such as you, who are especially attentive to the needs of our children.  We applaud you for your commitment and dedication and for the vital role you play in helping the children entrusted to our care."
Maria Caruso, Special Ed Teacher, Shriners Hospital, Montreal, Canada
"I just wanted to thank you for the two books you sent to us for our children's library.  "Hippy the Happy Hippo" was such a cute story and "Max's Cloud Critters" was such an innovative way to look at clouds.  These will certainly be enjoyed by our kids and we cannot thank you enough for thinking of us when distributing your books."
Mary Jaco, Director of Patient Care Services, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Galveston, Texas
"Papa Bear Max is the Best. My 5 year old son Noah had the chance to hear Max read this book (Hippy the Happy Hippo) to him. Noah was diagnosed with leukemia on May 19, 2008. Max came to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and read this book and another one of his books to the children. I cannot express how much this meant to us. Max is using the talents that the Lord has blessed him with to give back to children. Max, I know I have told you before, but I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to make the children at St. Jude feel special."

“Thank you for your gift of your three books for our patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  We appreciate your hard work and support.  Whether the experience of your compassionate concern is in the form of prayers, gift items, or much needed funding for research, you have answered the call for help.  There can be no joy as great as knowing that you have personally lifted up a sick child, comforted a worried family, or given a researcher the tools that will ultimately give hope and life to so many.  You are a hero to the world-wide family of St. Jude patients.  On behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and especially on behalf of the children and their families, thank you for your kindness and generosity.”
Rebecca J. Farrell, Director of Donor Services, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
“Both the Hippy and Cloud books are great especially for a hospital setting - easy to read; great for the imagination and playing while in a hospital bed or in a waiting room.  The books will help relieve the stress and anxiety of patients and families.  Thank you for the gift of these books.  We will put them to good use and I know the children will enjoy them.”
Kim Mangrum, Administrative Assistant, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Volunteer Services
"Children are precious!  Since our responsibility is great in caring for these special patients and their families, we are especially grateful for your gift on behalf of this cause.  It's exciting to realize that the Shriners Hospitals "team" actually extends to so many individuals and groups, and it takes all of us working together to keep the process moving forward.  Again, thank you.  We are grateful for your interest in and support of our Hospital and the children we serve."
Randall R. Romberger, Administrator, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Greenville, SC
